Job summary

Newrest is seeking a dedicated Porter to keep our facilities clean, organized, and safe in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a team to maintain cleanliness in multiple areas including common rooms, kitchens, and parking areas, ensuring a positive experience for guests and staff.

The position offers growth from within, with potential advancement to supervisory roles as you gain experience and demonstrate reliability and initiative within our Atlanta operations.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or relevant qualification is required.
• At least six months of experience working in a similar or relevant role.
• Ability to lift items/packages (up to 50lbs./15kg).
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Attendance, diligence, punctuality, reliability.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repairs and building improvements.
• Prepare conference rooms before and after important meetings.
• Clean all common room areas, including the kitchen, cafeteria, lobby, parking areas, and break room.
• When applicable, safety hazard signs, including warning signs for wet paint and wet floors, should be placed in the building.
• Monitor, clean, and service washrooms.
• Respond to any significant spills or other cleaning crises.
• Remove litter and rubbish from the main rooms.
• Help order supplies required for facility maintenance
• Other job duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
