Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a detail-oriented custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance across interior and exterior areas of the community. The role requires adherence to safety, proper chemical handling, and a friendly, professional demeanor with residents and staff.

You will take daily direction from the Supervisor, complete work orders, and ensure cleaning supplies are stocked. This full-time position offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to a well‑maintained property.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains safety procedures and OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates cleaning equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains sanitary levels and clean supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Completes daily work orders and documents tasks.
• Cleans restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, sinks and mirrors.
• Works indoors/outdoors as needed and may travel within property.
