Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH, seeks a Facilities Mechanical Plumbing Technician to inspect, install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, including domestic water, waste, backflow preventers, and specialty water systems.

Under supervision, you will review blueprints, use hand and power tools, troubleshoot leaks, and respond to emergency calls. You may assist other trades, document work, and uphold safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years’ plumbing/maintenance experience.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Universal.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Probationary period requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and install/repair threaded, flanged, soldered piping.
• Inspect for leaks; maintain domestic water and drainage systems; backflow preventers.
• Provide technical support and assist other trades as needed.
