Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a facilities planning and project manager to optimize space use and oversee maintenance and building projects from concept to implementation.

The role requires coordinating budgets, negotiating contracts, establishing schedules, and ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance milestones are met. On-site leadership will be essential for successful project delivery within the shipyard environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant exempt experience
• Master’s Degree with 1 year of relevant professional experience
• Associate's Degree with 2 years exempt experience or 4 years relevant exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED with 4 years combined Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military experience
• High School/GED with 8 years combined Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military experience

Aufgaben

• Plan utilization of space and facilities for efficiency within available funds.
• Plan, direct and manage all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance and building projects from design concepts through implementation.
• Define requirements, negotiate contracts, establish budgets, and identify terms and conditions.
• Lead project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance and monitor milestones.
