Job summary

McLeod Health in Florence, SC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep building components in good repair. You will inspect ceilings, walls, floors, doors and windows, perform repairs, painting, and maintain interior and exterior structures as part of a collaborative team.

Under supervision, you will review work orders, respond to emergencies, determine repair approaches, and refer complex tasks to senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Responsible for maintaining building components such as ceilings, walls, floors, doors and windows; perform painting and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains building components such as ceilings, walls, drywall, and other painted surfaces.
• Under supervision, maintains building components such as ceilings, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, elevators, stairways and building interior & exterior. Repairs doors, windows, furniture and building framework. Paint walls, doors, windows, trim, replace ceiling tile and/or grid and vinyl base.
• Repair fire rated wall, ceiling and floor assembly penetrations with approved UL rated firestop compounds.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
• Makes initial determination of how to affect repairs and refers extensive repairs to appropriate technician.
• Other duties as assigned.
