Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a full-time maintenance painter to service facilities across campuses, applying paint with various techniques and preparing surfaces.

Requires journeyman level painting experience or accredited training, English communication, a valid Arizona driver’s license, FBI background check, and immunization proof prior to start. Work is 8 hours daily, 12-month calendar.

Qualifications

• Experience at journeyman level in painting or completion of accredited training in the trade.
• Proficient reading and comprehension of written/graphic and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Paints surfaces using various techniques.
• Power washes surfaces and prepares areas for painting.
• Hangs drywall and performs window glazing.
