Job summary

Macerich is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager in a Manager-in-Training program. The role supports daily operations and builds leadership skills to become an Operations Manager within 1–2 years. If promoted, relocation may be required anywhere in the United States.

Must be able to return to the property within 30 minutes in case of unforeseen circumstances. You will work closely with operations management on property operations, assist in planning, and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to read and interpret data.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate across teams.
• Proactive in supporting operations management and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating schedules, workflows, and priorities.
• Learn and contribute to process improvements under guidance.
• Assist in team coordination and cross-department alignment.
• Prepare and review operational reports, analyze data, and present findings.
• Participate in vendor and partner relations and contract administration.
• Support budgeting and resource management; monitor adherence to policies.
• Seek mentorship and training to grow into an operations leadership role.
