Job summary

Walmart Lafayette facility is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead HVAC, electrical, and critical power maintenance, ensure energy-efficient operations, and manage complex projects. You will oversee regional field activities, budgets, and contractor performance while ensuring compliance with EPA and industry guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, EPA 608, and strong leadership in cross-functional teams, with a focus on cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field or 5 years’ related experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications include Supervising Associates and working on cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs facility maintenance and service operations across systems to ensure reliability.
• Oversees sustainability initiatives and EPA compliance project work.
• Manages complex projects: planning, staffing, budgeting, and approvals.
• Directs regional field operations and tracks contractor performance.
• Ensures budget adherence and financial sustainability for capital and staff.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local HVAC and engineering guidelines.

Education
