Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. seeks a Facility Operations professional to coordinate multi-phase projects across planning, budgeting, scheduling, construction, commissioning, and close-out within the FirstEnergy service area.

The role supports the Supervisor, Facility Operations in preventative maintenance planning and in budgeting for capital and O&M needs, ensuring a safe work environment and respectful workplace. Qualified candidates may have a 2- or 4-year degree in engineering or related fields, plus

Qualifications

• A 2- or 4-year degree in Engineering or related field with 2–4 years of professional work experience; or 5+ years of direct, related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong documentation of processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design, construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of company facilities, including substations, via internal resources or contractors.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to improve efficiency.
• Promote safety and compliance with Contractor Safety Guidelines and FirstEnergy standards.
• Support major projects, move requests, maintenance, and budget planning with the Supervisor, Facility Operations.
• Collaborate with Environmental group to ensure environmental compliance.
• Assist with Facilities Capital and O&M budgets and cost-savings analyses.
