Job summary

LB&B Associates Inc. is seeking a facilities manager to oversee operations and mechanical maintenance services at US Census government facilities in Suitland, MD. You will lead a large team, ensure high-quality service, and manage vendor relationships.

The role requires a 4-year degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of CMMS, building automation systems, and Microsoft Office. This is an exempt full-time position based in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years verifying and supervising mechanical maintenance operations for large facilities (≥1,000,000 sq ft).

Responsibilities

• Direct the O&M of all buildings under the contract
• Lead skilled trades, administrative, and support staff
• Monitor, train, evaluate, and guide facilities personnel
• Oversee machinery, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans
• Negotiate O&M contracts and manage vendors
• Authorize purchases and maintain supplies
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and equipment; report needs
• Ensure proper use of the CMMS for all contract buildings
• Meet with customers regularly and provide reports
