Job summary

OhioHealth in Dublin, OH is seeking a Manager of Facilities Operations to lead the hospital’s maintenance and plant operations. You will supervise a team responsible for buildings, plumbing, carpentry, grounds, electrical and HVAC, and ensure 24/7 reliability.

Responsibilities include staffing, performance management, budget oversight, preventive maintenance, and coordination with outside contractors and capital projects.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required).
• Two year technical degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Thorough technical skills in assigned areas, knowledge of regulatory codes and safety requirements.
• 5 yrs. experience in a skilled trade; 2 yrs. healthcare engineering operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily performance of facilities staff; assigns work and schedules.
• Maintains performance standards; conducts annual evaluations and participates in hiring processes.
• Manages overtime, leave, and discipline in coordination with the Director.
• Communicates policies and department updates across the hospital; ensures effective staff communication.
• Notifies affected departments of planned service interruptions and responds to requests and complaints.
• Manages contracted work; evaluates contractor performance and quality.
• Develops and tracks operational budgets; reports variances to the Director.
• Maintains preventive maintenance programs and ensures regulatory compliance (JCAHO).
• Supports capital construction and replacement projects; coordinates with outside engineers/contractors.
