Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks a strategic Facilities Superintendent for the FM Team C portfolio. You will manage 1.1 million sq ft across 47 buildings, coordinating operations, budgets, and safety programs while guiding a team of skilled trades.

You will plan and oversee maintenance, supervise staff, and partner with other city entities to ensure reliable facilities and excellent public service.

Qualifications

• Strategic minded and motivated leader with strong people and operations management.
• Experience coordinating operational and administrative responsibilities within facilities.
• Ability to support the annual budget process and forecast resource needs.
• Proven track record coaching, training, and setting performance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises trade supervisors and skilled staff overseeing buildings and facilities.
• Plans, assigns, and evaluates work; provides technical guidance to staff.
• Develops and manages the budget for the work function and allocates funds.
• Coordinates projects with city agencies and external partners; handles public relations.
• Implements safety and security standards and ensures compliance.
• Develops work plans, methods, and priorities; governs workflow.
• Inspires and develops staff through coaching, mentoring, and leadership.
