Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Manager, Facilities Operations for our Solar Cell Factory (Starlink). You will lead the central utility plant, gas and chemical systems, and wastewater infrastructure to support 24/7 production of space-grade solar cells, in a high reliability environment.

You will manage safety, preventive maintenance, and a team of technicians, collaborating with Production, Maintenance, and EHS to optimize uptime, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM.
• 5+ years of facilities/utilities operations leadership.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of central utility plant, gas farm, chemical systems, and wastewater infrastructure for 24/7 solar cell production.
• Oversee high-purity gas and chemical procurement, storage, distribution, and delivery systems while minimizing waste.
• Manage HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, and exhaust to maintain precise cleanroom conditions.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules, procedures, safety training, and emergency plans.
• Lead and develop a team of facility technicians and operators.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and EHS to troubleshoot and support expansion.
• Track KPIs such as uptime, costs, compliance, and yield impact.
• Drive sustainable operations and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, local codes).
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation.
