Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Manager, Facilities Operations – Solar Cell Factory (Starlink) to lead the central utility plant, gas/chemical systems, and site services enabling 24/7 solar cell production. You will drive uptime, safety, and efficiency while building a high‑caliber facilities team.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and EHS to scale manufacturing, manage environmental/regulatory requirements, and continuously improve infrastructure reliability in a cutting‑edge space AI data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM or 5+ years leading facilities/utilities operations.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• 2+ years in a leadership role managing central utility plants or related systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the central utility plant and site services to enable continuous solar cell production.
• Oversee gas, chemical procurement, storage, and delivery with waste minimization.
• Maintain cleanroom conditions via HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, and exhaust systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance, safety training, and emergency plans.
• Coach a team of facility technicians and operators in a high‑reliability setting.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and EHS to support expansion.
• Track uptime, costs, environmental compliance, and yield impact.
• Drive regulatory compliance and cost‑effective infrastructure reliability.
• Foster technical excellence and innovation to support SpaceX’s vision.
