Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Senior Maintenance Coordinator to lead community Facilities Operations, oversee building systems, grounds, and regulatory compliance, and manage the maintenance team and budget. The role focuses on creating a safe, clean environment for residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities include coordinating HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance; responding to emergencies; maintaining life safety systems; and ensuring compliance with OSHA

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading facilities operations and teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, fire protection and risk management.
• Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond to building emergencies and ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.
• Maintain life safety systems, fire protection equipment, alarms and disaster preparedness protocols.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control and risk management standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Prepare resident rooms for move-ins and oversee grounds and first-impression areas.
• Develop, schedule and supervise maintenance team members.
• Manage departmental budget, vendor relationships and purchasing processes.
• Train team members on safety procedures and equipment operations.
