Job summary

MSCI Inc. in New York seeks a Senior Associate to lead day-to-day facilities operations at our headquarters, supporting ~550 employees and high-profile events.

You will supervise maintenance, vendor management, security, life-safety, and workplace services to ensure reliability and readiness. The role requires strong collaboration with IT, Security, HR, and leadership, plus budget oversight and experience with SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of facilities operations experience in corporate or high-profile environment.
• Experience managing vendors, preventive maintenance programs, and building repairs.
• Experience overseeing pantry, hospitality, or café-style workplace services preferred.
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, fire/life safety, lighting, security, critical infrastructure).
• Experience with budget tracking, invoice processing, and SAP or similar systems.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, executive-facing headquarters environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across Security, IT, HR, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day repairs and general upkeep of building installations.
• Manage lighting replacements and coordinate high-reach electrical work.
• Ensure reliability of HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing and emergency systems.
• Schedule and evaluate vendors; manage contracts, SLAs and costs.
• Oversee pantry, café operations and inventory management.
• Own site maintenance calendar and preventive maintenance program.
• Coordinate with IT, Security for infrastructure work.
• Administer badge creation and access controls.
• Coordinate fire drills and life safety inspections.
• Plan facilities events and minor renovations.
