Job summary

Pace-Analytical-Services-LL in Morrisville, NC is seeking a lead facilities professional to manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems. You will guide maintenance staff, coordinate preventive work, and ensure regulatory compliance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general infrastructure.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and continuous improvement, with on-call rotation and collaboration with contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Commercial HVAC experience; Refrigerant handling knowledge (NC license preferred, not required).
• Previous maintenance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities operations for assigned buildings, prioritizing maintenance activities.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to facilities and operations staff.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support facilities operations.
• Oversee glass washing operations and ensure safe, compliant practices.
• Lead maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of stability chambers and environmental systems.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Serve as primary point of contact for facility-related issues; assess root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and supervise work by contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure safety and compliance.
• Review and audit maintenance records, logs, and documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist management in developing and improving maintenance programs, policies, and practices.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support facility projects from planning through execution and provide recommendations to management.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Represent Pace in interactions with customers and staff with professionalism and safety focus.
