Job summary

Castelion is seeking a highly proactive Facilities Manager to lead the development, operations, and continuous improvement of its new 1,000-acre site in New Mexico. You will own facilities strategy, establish SOPs, and drive uptime and safety across engineering, manufacturing, and office environments.

The role requires strong operational discipline, the ability to make decisions with incomplete information, and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years in facilities, site operations, or industrial/manufacturing environments with increasing responsibility.
• Experience supporting large, multi-building sites preferred.
• Ability to implement SOPs, maintenance programs, and operational processes from the ground up.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) and maintenance best practices.
• Proven operational discipline in high-reliability environments focused on uptime and safety.
• Ability to prioritize across competing demands in fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate independently with high ownership and accountability.
• Availability for off-hours or emergency response as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own facilities operations across a 1,000-acre site in New Mexico, serving as primary contact for facilities strategy and performance.
• Stand up and implement SOPs across facilities, maintenance, safety, and vendor management.
• Establish prioritization frameworks balancing urgent needs, site development, and long-term infrastructure.
• Build and scale preventive maintenance programs for facility systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, security, and fire protection.
• Support installation, commissioning, and ramp of manufacturing equipment and spaces.
• Manage and prioritize work orders; resolve maintenance and operational issues.
• Source and manage external vendors and contractors for quality, cost, and schedule.
• Partner with EHS, security, engineering, and operations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with design engineers on site planning, space allocation, and future buildouts.
• Develop systems to track maintenance, downtime, asset management, and critical spares inventory.
• Support emergency preparedness and incident response for a large-scale site.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
