Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Director to lead maintenance, safety, and capital improvements at our Clifton clubhouse. You will ensure facilities are safe, attractive, and fully operational for youths, families, staff, and the community, while guiding a maintenance team and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible facilities management experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations, schools, community centers, healthcare, or institutional facilities.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and appearance of the Club’s facilities and grounds.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Manage maintenance requests and ensure timely completion.
• Oversee maintenance and inspection of our bus fleet.
• Lead safety, compliance, and OSHA-related requirements.
• Recruit, supervise, train, and mentor maintenance personnel.
• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and capital projects.
