Lufthansa Cargo in New York is seeking a Facility and MHS Mechanics Assistant to support the Facility and MHS Team, maintain operations, and grow professionally. The role involves hands-on maintenance tasks across electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related systems within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include reporting repairs, assisting under supervision, and performing duties as assigned. On-call shifts, temperature and noise conditions apply, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills in English.
• On call for emergencies (24 hours 7 days a week).
• Must display willingness to learn.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
• Work includes handling lubricants, solvents, batteries cleaning fluids and paints.
• Shift and weekend work is required.
• Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
• Ability to push/lift 75 pounds.
• Assist in emergency evacuations.
• Operate snow blower and snow shovel.
• Must be willing to work shifts.
• Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
• CV/Resume required.
• Company will not provide relocation assistance

Responsibilities

• Paint, clean, change light bulbs, escort Sub Contractors
• Repair under supervision, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, CCTV and MHS issues
• Repair of GSE, battery changes
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor/Master Mechanic/Mechanic on all repairs and preventative maintenance issues
• Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors
