Job summary

Intel is seeking a Facilities Chemical/Gas Systems Engineer to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of vacuum, abatement, and Subfab support systems critical to advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage equipment installation and upgrades, and drive continuous improvement to reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory/safety compliance standards for handling hazardous process gases
• Experience with emissions control in semiconductor manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s)

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for chemical and gas systems to support safety, reliability, quality, and cost objectives.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of vacuum pumps, abatement and other support systems and input into planning, design, and construction of Subfab equipment.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards related to Subfab systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve system performance issues.
• Collaborate with internal customers and multidisciplinary teams to design and optimize systems for semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
