Job summary

Quantinuum, a leading quantum computing company headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, seeks a Facilities Mechanical Engineer Intern in our Broomfield, CO location. You will assist in operation, startup, and validation of HVAC and related systems, and support cleanroom environments and infrastructure projects.

Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduating 2027 or later, and able to join the internship before completing their degree.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Graduating on/after 2027.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to contractual requirements.
• Eligible for internship prior to degree completion.

Responsibilities

• System Support & Validation: Assist in operation, startup, and validation of HVAC, air systems, chilled water, and related mechanical systems.
• Documentation: Conduct system walkdowns, create and update O&M documentation, and support special projects within mechanical engineering scope.
• Clean Room Environment Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment; follow ISO and other standards for cleanroom operations.
• Support facility planning: space utilization, infrastructure upgrades, and capital project development.
• Complete a capstone project and present recommendations to site leadership at internship end.
