Job summary

Westtown School seeks a Central Plant Technician to join its year-round facilities team. The role maintains the central energy plant, campus plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, and supports building automation and energy conservation. A high school diploma and at least three years of facilities maintenance experience are required.

The position offers full benefits, including PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision, retirement contributions, meals, and uniforms. Regular hours are 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of three years of equivalent experience in facilities maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to hazardous materials.
• Must be able to prioritize work and work independently without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of the central boiler plant and monitoring of system performance.
• Perform maintenance on campus plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Assist in building automation systems training and obtain required licenses.
• Maintain safety and energy conservation practices; report unsafe conditions.
• Participate in departmental meetings and be available during inclement weather.
