Job summary

Harbor FoodService in Kent, WA is seeking a Facilities Mechanic to repair and maintain the Kent facility's building and equipment. The role offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and EAP.

The pay range is between $28.00 per hour and $36.00 per hour. Candidates must have a HS diploma and hands-on experience in maintenance, welding, electrical, plumbing and woodworking.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in maintenance, welding, electrical, plumbing and woodworking is preferred.
• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate power tools and drive forklift is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the safe operation of all warehouse and office equipment, such as warehouse dock doors, dock levelers, HVAC, lighting and warehouse racking.
• Assist other Facilities mechanics on maintenance projects.
• Perform remodeling including repairing sheet rock, painting, framing; carpenter skills a plus.
• Monitor electrical equipment and repair/replace as needed for safe operation.
• Maintain fire sprinkler system with outside vendors.
• Welding and fabrication tasks as assigned.

Repair and maintain building and equipment at the Kent facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the safe operation of all warehouse and office equipment, such as: warehouse dock doors, dock levelers, HVAC, lighting and warehouse racking.
• Assist other Facilities mechanics as needed for various maintenance projects.
• Various remodeling projects, including repairing sheet rock, painting, framing. Carpenter skill set a plus.
• Monitor electrical equipment through warehouse and office work spaces. Repair or replace electrical equipment as needed for normal and safe operation.
• Monitor and maintain the safe and normal operation of the facilities fire sprinkler system with assistance from outside service vendors.
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned including welding and fabricating projects.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Qualified individual will present well-rounded skills in maintenance, welding, electrical, plumbing and woodworking.
• Three (3) to five (5) years industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate power tools, use hand tools and drive forklift is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs. at times
• 80% of time on feet.
• Provide own hand tools.
