The successful candidate will have broad mechanical and facility-maintenance experience and be willing to tackle a variety of projects involving electrical, plumbing, refrigeration support, loading docks, doors, security systems, building repairs, grounds, equipment, and general facility improvements.

The position is primarily based at our Kent facility but will provide support to our Portland location, requiring travel approximately two to three days per month.

  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs involving lighting, outlets, switches, photocells, conduit, wiring, electrical connections, and related equipment within the employee's qualifications.
  • Maintain and replace facility lighting, including interior, exterior, dock, yard, security, and emergency/exit lighting.
  • Assist with HVAC and refrigeration-related maintenance, including filters, evaporators, coils, condensate drainage, fans, and troubleshooting.
  • Inspect and maintain air compressors, pumps, pit pumps, drainage systems, and related facility equipment.
Grounds & Exterior Maintenance
  • Maintain exterior areas including parking lots, docks, ramps, fences, drainage areas, landscaping, and building exteriors.
  • Perform vegetation control, tree and brush cleanup, pressure washing, minor asphalt/concrete repairs, and general property upkeep.
  • Maintain exterior lighting, gutters, drainage systems, parking areas, and facility access points.
Fabrication & Special Projects
  • Perform light fabrication, construction, modification, and installation projects as needed.
  • Build or modify racks, guards, brackets, storage solutions, workstations, and other facility components.
  • Assist with office moves, mounting equipment, installing signage, TVs, shelving, and other workplace improvements.
  • Support facility renovation and improvement projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, warehouse maintenance, building maintenance, construction, mechanical repair, or a related field.
  • Broad mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
