Job summary

Surgical Institute of Reading is seeking a Materials & Facilities Technician to support Materials Management and Facilities operations. You will receive, stock, and distribute supplies, and perform routine maintenance to keep a safe, functional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include inspections, inventory control, painting, minor repairs, furniture assembly, and assisting with relocations and seasonal tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in receiving, warehouse operations, maintenance, or facilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
• Verify deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Label, organize, and stock supplies in designated locations.
• Perform routine building maintenance and simple repairs.
• Assemble, install, and move furniture, shelving, and equipment.
• Support inventory counts and backorder follow-ups.
• Assist with facility improvement projects and office relocations.
• Seasonal duties including snow and ice removal.
• Maintain safe storage and work areas.
