Job summary

Community College of Aurora is hiring a Materials Handler II in the Facilities Department. The role involves receiving and distributing campus materials, operating pallet jacks and hand trucks, handling mail, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

The position requires physical exertion and adherence to safety protocols. The incumbent will support events, asset tagging, safety inspections, and occasional snow removal, with duties expanding as needed by Operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in warehouse, stockroom, or materials handling.
• Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license.
• Able to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and related physical requirements.
• Adhere to safety procedures for materials handling and mailroom operations.
• Commitment to accurate recordkeeping and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Distribute materials, equipment, and furniture around campus.
• Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks for safe transport of items.
• Process mail and packages, weigh, meter, and track outgoing shipments.
• Maintain records for chargebacks and asset tagging for compliance.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies.
• Assist with event setup and room reservations; support safety and snow removal tasks.
• Provide process-improvement feedback to supervisor.
