Job summary

Community College of Aurora in Aurora, CO is seeking a full-time Materials Handler II in the Facilities Department. You will receive, inspect, and distribute shipments, operate pallet jacks, and maintain accurate inventory records across campus.

Responsibilities include processing mail, coordinating with the Operations Program Assistant, supporting events, safety compliance, and occasional snow removal. This role also requires a valid Colorado driver’s license and 2 years of warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or materials handling environment.
• Substitution with related education and/or experience is allowed on a year-for-year basis.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Colorado driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Distribute materials, equipment, and furniture to appropriate locations.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment for safe transport.
• Process outgoing shipments, weigh, meter, and track.
• Maintain records for chargebacks and ensure mailroom equipment is operational.
• Assist with tagging and tracking assets for inventory accuracy.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and safety inspections.
• Support events, snow removal, and de-icing efforts as needed.
