Job summary

Guardian Service Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced maintenance supervisor to manage handypersons and contractors at a high-end social club and residential community in Midtown Manhattan, NY.

You will hire, supervise, and direct staff, ensure repairs and maintenance across trades, and liaise with clients to deliver exceptional service. The role requires strong managerial and hands-on skills, FDNY fitness certification if requested, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to hire, supervise, and direct handypersons and contractors.
• Experience overseeing repairs and maintenance of building systems.
• FDNY Certificates of Fitness, if requested, must be obtained within a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and maintenance across trades including flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more.
• Hire, supervise, and direct handypersons and contractors for a high-end social club and residential community.
• Coordinate front-of-house client/contractor meetings to ensure client satisfaction.

Description

The Role:This position is for someone who has managerial and hands on skills and who has the ability to hire, supervise and direct Handypersons and contractors at a high-end social club and residential community.

Job specifications are as follows

Basic to advanced knowledge and the ability to oversee the repairs and maintenance of:

• Flooring
• Carpeting
• Painting
• Plastering
• Drywall
• Wall coverings
• Appliances
• Windows
• Doors
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Porter Maintenance
• Record keeping

Necessary skills and certifications:

• FDNY Certificates of Fitness, if requested, must be obtained within a timely manner
• Moderate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Salary and Benefits: $90,000.00

This position will require the capability to perform front of house client/contractor liaison meetings and/or discussions regarding the above outlined topics to best serve the client in a high-end social club and residential community in midtown Manhattan, NY.
