Job summary

Guardian Service Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician with mechanical and handyman abilities to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of systems and surfaces in a high-end residential community in New York.

Responsibilities include front-of-house contractor liaison meetings, performing tasks on flooring, carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and HVAC, and ensuring compliance with EPA refrigerant handling certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting across listed trades.
• Must have or be able to obtain EPA Type 1/2 refrigerant handling certification.
• FDNY G-60 and FDNY F-60 certifications required or obtained promptly.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and troubleshoot flooring, carpeting, painting, plastering, drywall and wall coverings.
• Repair and maintain appliances, Windows, Doors, Electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems including boilers.

The Role:

This position is for someone who has mechanical and handyperson skills.

Job specifications are as follows

Basic to advanced knowledge and the ability to repair, maintain and troubleshoot:

• Flooring
• Carpeting
• Painting
• Plastering
• Drywall
• Wall coverings
• Appliances
• Windows
• Doors
• Electrical
• Domestic water plumbing
• Sewage plumbing
• Gas plumbing
• Boilers
• HVAC (refrigerant evacuation, recovery and charging inclusive of brazing)

Requirements

Necessary certifications:

• EPA certification for refrigerant handling/recovery Type 1 and 2.
• EPA Universal certificate is a plus
• FDNY G-60 (Torch Use) Must be obtained within a timely manner
• FDNY F-60 (Fire Guard for Torch Use) Must be obtained within a timely manner

$66,599.00 - $83,200.00/yr

This position will also require the capability to perform front of house contractor/tenant liaison meetings and/or discussions regarding the above outlined topics to best serve the tenants of a high end residential community.
