The University of California, Los Angeles California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee the 188,000 SF CNSI building operations, safety programs, and staff. This role chairs the Facility Safety Committee and partners with UCLA Facilities Management to ensure compliance and smooth operation of core nanofabrication and research services.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years progressive experience in building/facilities management.
• Experience with toxic gases and liquids, hazardous waste, clean room operations, animal facilities, environmental compliance, and industrial safety programs (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in staff management.
• Strong written and verbal communication to interact with diverse groups of faculty, students, and staff.
• Effective facilitation, personal interaction and leadership to achieve consensus in a complex environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving and facility management skills.
• Ability to design and implement an equipment tracking system.
• Experience hiring, evaluating, and training staff.
• Ability to delegate, monitor workflow and guide staff.
• Teamwork with faculty and colleagues on projects.
• Prioritization and adaptability under heavy workload.
• Independent work with minimal supervision.
• Customer service mindset.
