Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and redevelopment of a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The immediate focus is the shutdown and clearance of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, including disassembly of machinery and coordination of contractors.

You will supervise trades, coordinate repairs and capital improvements, and ensure projects are completed safely and in compliance

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically knowledgeable regarding tools, machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Ability to direct employees and contractors and follow projects through to completion.
• Familiar with coordinating repairs, maintenance, and capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, maintenance, improvement, and redevelopment of a portfolio of properties.
• Shutdown and clearance of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, including disassembly and removal of machinery.

The Facilities Manager will work directly with the owner to oversee the physical operation, maintenance, improvement, and redevelopment of a portfolio of residential and commercial properties in Northern NJ.

The immediate focus will be the shutdown and clearing of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, including machinery and equipment disassembly and removal, contractor coordination, demolition, renovation, utility work, and preparation of the property for future tenancy.

The position requires someone who is mechanically knowledgeable regarding tools, machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems. The successful candidate does not need to personally perform every trade, but must understand how work should be approached, be capable of directing employees and contractors, recognize when specialized trades are required, and follow projects through to completion.

The position includes ongoing facilities and property maintenance across a portfolio of commercial, multifamily, and single-family properties, including coordinating repairs, maintenance, contractors, roofing and structural work, HVAC, plumbing, appliances, tenant-related maintenance issues, and capital improvement projects.
