Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Facilities/Building Operations professional to coordinate and oversee building maintenance, moves, deliveries, and access control within an assigned facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of related experience, and a valid Georgia driver's license. Safety, lifting, and lab environment familiarity are valued. This is a full-time on-site position at Science Square.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License; safety precautions apply. Lifting up to 25 pounds and prolonged standing.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Landlord/property management experience in lab environments is preferred.
  • Experience with wet labs and research equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage building maintenance functions (routine and emergency) to ensure timely completion.
  • Arrange for office moves within the facility and ensure they occur as scheduled.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of building equipment.
  • Maintain building access control system including card entry and office key management.
  • Facilitate arrangements of special events scheduled for facility.
  • Order building repair services as needed.
  • Coordinate outside vendor/contractor services.
  • Coordinate annual equipment inventory and maintain related records.
  • Manage and update emergency preparedness plan for facility and related documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Facilitate and coordinate building operations within an assigned facility. Includes coordination of building maintenance and repairs, office moves, delivery and installation of furniture and equipment., building access control and deliveries. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: building occupants and visitors, department heads, contractors and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: contractors, vendors and visitors. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange for office moves within facility; ensure they are carried out as scheduled
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of building equipment
  • Maintain building access control system including card entry and office key management

  • Order building repair services as needed
  • Coordinate outside vendor/contractor services
  • Coordinate annual equipment inventory and maintain related records
  • Manage and update emergency preparedness plan for facility(facilities) and all related documents and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Educational Requirements - High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
  • Other Required Qualifications - Valid Georgia Driver's License Work involves adherence to applicable safety precautions. Typically requires lifting objects up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Required Experience - Three to five years job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications - Landlord/property management experience who is also comfortable working within lab environments
  • Preferred Experience - Experience with wet labs and research equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS This job requires skills in organization, communications, staging operations, general building maintenance processes and scheduling. Use of office related computer applications is required.
