Job Description

The Facilities Manager ensures the efficiency, safety, and good working conditions of all facilities at an Eataly location. Reports to the Director of Store Operations and oversees Facilities and Support team members.

1. Manages team members: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll, and disciplines as necessary.
2. Ensures efficiency and good working conditions of multiple 24-hour facilities, including walk-ins, refrigerator units, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning services, and off-site storage.
3. Maintains accurate records of the conditions of all facilities and creates a schedule of regular housekeeping and cleanliness for the store.
4. Guarantees exceptionally clean and sanitary conditions in accordance with state and federal regulations.
5. Assesses the ongoing condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, and other essential facilities and equipment to anticipate needs and resolve problems.
6. Ensures the safety of the building from fire, flood, or other hazards.
7. Oversees inventory and vendor relationships.
8. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a Housekeeping, Facilities, or Custodial Supervisor or Manager.
• Experience managing a large team successfully.
• Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures for extended periods.
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certification.
