About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead maintenance operations at its distribution center in West Jefferson, Ohio. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, takes pride in building safe and efficient operations, and knows how to bring teams, vendors, systems, and facilities together to support business success.

In this role, you will oversee facility maintenance functions, champion safety and compliance, manage building-related budgets, support sustainability initiatives, and help drive operational excellence using Lean tools and best practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic facility leader who can balance day-to-day maintenance priorities with long-term planning, capital projects, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
• Plan, direct, and supervise maintenance operations using Lean tools and methodologies.
• Manage receipt and oversight of capital purchases.
• Own budget responsibilities for building-related departments.
• Develop and support sustainability initiatives across the facility.
• Drive Loss Prevention and Facility Management best-practice compliance, safety awareness, training, and HSE practices.
• Ensure accurate and legally compliant federal, state, and local regulatory recordkeeping and reporting.
• Maintain emergency management and disaster plans in partnership with corporate Loss Prevention.
• Serve as the primary owner of the CMMS for daily maintenance activities.
• Negotiate critical services with multiple vendors to support facility needs.
• Respond flexibly to issues that may arise outside normal business hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of facility management experience.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
• Understanding of equipment, policies, procedures, and security strategies that protect people, property, and information.
• Experience with technical engineering operations, including repairs, renovations, and/or opening new facilities.
• Strong project management skills; Project Management certification preferred.
• Safety or facility certifications such as Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Facility Manager preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours as business needs require.
