Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a Facilities Manager to own our large, automated personal care production campus. You will lead facility systems, engineering oversight, and day-to-day operations of HVAC, boilers, building maintenance, and safety programs.

The role requires 7+ years of manufacturing facilities leadership, strong project management, and proven contractor coordination. Base compensation is $140,000–$160,000 with bonus potential.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of maintenance certifications and 5+ years of facilities management leadership in a manufacturing setting
  • 7+ years of plant or facilities management experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Hands-on experience with facility systems including HVAC, boilers, and electrical distribution
  • Proven track record managing contractors across multiple trades simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination
  • Stationary Engineer license preferred
  • Strong communicator who can work across departments and with diverse teams

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facility functions including HVAC, boilers, stationary engineering, building maintenance, and related systems
  • Manage on-site contractors across multiple trades including electrical and civil work, ensuring all projects meet facility standards, timelines, and safety requirements
  • Manage on-site wastewater treatment systems and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Develop and oversee capital project budgets, scopes, and schedules for infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements
  • Ensure adherence to applicable codes, OSHA requirements, and safety standards throughout the facility
  • Identify facility improvement opportunities and lead implementation from concept through completion

Overview

A century-old, family‑owned personal care products manufacturer is adding a Facilities Manager to take full ownership of facility systems and infrastructure at a large, automated production campus in Bedford Park. This is a newly created position built to bring dedicated engineering leadership to a complex facility that has outgrown a generalist approach. The operation produces shampoo, lotion, conditioner, and a broad range of personal care products at scale. The company is specifically looking for someone who comes from a manufacturing environment and understands how large industrial facilities operate from the inside.

What the Job Involves
  • Oversee all facility functions including HVAC, boilers, stationary engineering, building maintenance, and related systems
