Bedford Park Manufacturer in Illinois is seeking a Facilities Manager to take ownership of complex facility systems at a large, automated campus. The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in Engineering or Facilities Management, 5+ years in facilities leadership, and a proven track record in budgeting and project scheduling.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of certifications and 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing facilities.
• Strong communicator who can work across departments and with diverse teams.
• Hands-on experience with facility systems including HVAC, boilers, and electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facility functions including HVAC, boilers, stationary engineering, building maintenance, and related systems.
• Manage on-site contractors across multiple trades ensuring projects meet standards, timelines, and safety requirements.
• Manage on-site wastewater treatment systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and oversee capital project budgets, scopes, and schedules for infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements.
• Ensure adherence to codes, OSHA requirements, and safety standards throughout the facility.
• Identify facility improvement opportunities and lead implementation from concept through completion.

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 base + bonus

Overview

A century-old, family‑owned personal care products manufacturer is adding a Facilities Manager to take full ownership of facility systems and infrastructure at a large, automated production campus in Bedford Park. This is a newly created position built to bring dedicated engineering leadership to a complex facility that has outgrown a generalist approach. The operation produces shampoo, lotion, conditioner, and a broad range of personal care products at scale. The company is specifically looking for someone who comes from a manufacturing environment and understands how large industrial facilities operate from the inside.

What the Job Involves

• Oversee all facility functions including HVAC, boilers, stationary engineering, building maintenance, and related systems
• Manage on‑site contractors across multiple trades including electrical and civil work, ensuring all projects meet facility standards, timelines, and safety requirements
• Manage on‑site wastewater treatment systems and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
• Develop and oversee capital project budgets, scopes, and schedules for infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements
• Ensure adherence to applicable codes, OSHA requirements, and safety standards throughout the facility
• Identify facility improvement opportunities and lead implementation from concept through completion

What They Need
