Job summary

Burkert USA Corp in North Carolina is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to lead emergency planning and coordinate responses. You will oversee maintenance, energy efficiency projects, and contractor performance while aligning with safety, quality, and budget goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Emergency Action Plan and emergency responses including risk assessments, SOPs, maps, signage, evacuation plans, sheltering, lock downs, harsh weather events, workplace violence, terrorism, natural hazards, property conservation, etc.
• Manage contractors and team members responsible for building, grounds, interior spaces, furnishings, fixtures and non-production equipment for normal maintenance, repair, replacement, and energy efficiency.
• Responsible for Building cost center approvals both expense and capitalized.
• Responsible for lead work structure and task for assigned Facilities apprentices.
• Manages and reviews service contracts.
• Keeps the facility clean and maintained according to policy.
• Ensures safe and adequate quality of work for all vendors and contractors.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates prospective contractor personnel to ensure efficient completion of the contracted need.
• Evaluates bids, materials, punch lists, warranties, change order costs and additional time requests from vendors and/or contractors with a critical eye to ensure quality and the project comes in on time and within budget.
