We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager ready to advance their career by taking full ownership of Facilities operations across our Hazleton, Pennsylvania campus- three distribution facilities supporting more than 200 employees. This high-impact role oversees facility maintenance, automated systems, regulatory compliance, vendors, budgets, and capital projects while leading the local Facilities team and partnering across Operations, Engineering, Safety, and IT to shape campus performance and reliability. The primary responsibilities include:
Facility Operations
- Oversee the maintenance of buildings, grounds, utilities, refrigeration, HVAC, sanitation, pest control and preventive maintenance through the company's CMMS.
- Prioritize work based on safety, equipment criticality, and operational needs.
Automated Material Handling Systems
- Maximize the uptime of AGVs, conveyors, robotics, layer pickers, automated storage, stretch wrappers, and labeling systems.
- Coordinate troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement of the systems.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, FM Global, environmental, food safety, GMP, customer, and company standards.
- Oversee inspections, certifications, audit documentation, emergency preparedness, and facility security.
- Partner with Safety and Operations to identify and reduce risk.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Monitor reliability metrics, investigate failures, reduce downtime, and maintain critical spare parts.
Budget & Capital Planning
- Manage facilities maintenance and capital budgets, spending forecasts, invoices, and contracts.
- Develop capital requests and support long-term asset planning and cost reduction.
- Select and manage contractors, vendors, bids, pricing, scopes of work, and project performance.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and with minimal operational disruption.
The skills and qualifications for the Facility Manager are outlined below:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of CMRP certifications and experience.
- 5-7 years of progressive facilities or maintenance leadership experience.
- Experience supporting automated distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, or modern logistics operations.
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance vendors with a working knowledge of electrical, woodwork, HVAC, roofing, paving, etc.
- Experience supporting robotics or automated warehouse systems a plus.
- MS Office with intermediate Excel.
- Must be able to lift 50lb and be able to work at heights of 50 ft.
