Job summary

Wendy's in Virginia Beach is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for multiple restaurant locations. This in-field role partners with Operations to ensure safe, efficient restaurant operation.

You will manage HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and work orders, travel within the market, and help with remodels while controlling expenses and ensuring brand standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the Virginia Beach area.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC systems.
• Refrigeration, kitchen equipment, basic electrical and plumbing.
• Determine repairs internal vs vendors and manage work orders.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:
• HVAC systems
• Commercial refrigeration
• Kitchen equipment
• Basic electrical and plumbing systems
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
