Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility modifications and construction projects, including planning, budgeting, cost estimates, bid packages, contracts, and project execution.
  • Ensure construction, installation, and facility operations comply with established specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and direct maintenance personnel, facility engineers, project managers, and Environmental Health & Safety personnel while fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Oversee building space planning, maintenance operations, communication services, and facilities support activities across U.S. locations.
  • Develop and manage departmental operating budgets and capital expenditures for U.S. locations.
  • Analyze energy usage, support efficiency initiatives, and drive continuous facility improvements.
  • Manage vendor and service contracts, including maintenance, project management, security, janitorial, vending, first aid, and other facility-related services.
  • Partner with architects, contractors, landlords, real estate partners, and internal stakeholders to support remodeling, expansion, and future space requirements.
  • Coordinate facility-related projects and equipment installations with site leadership and cross-functional teams, including Information Technology.
  • Oversee company vehicle maintenance and related support services.
  • Serve as the primary facilities liaison with external agencies, including utilities, fire departments, and law enforcement.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Manager leads the operation and maintenance of Advanced Energy's Fort Collins facilities, ensuring buildings, equipment, infrastructure, and support services operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees facilities staff, contractors, capital projects, and departmental budgets while supporting business objectives.

Working closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams, the Facilities Manager fosters strong partnerships to support operational needs, facility improvements, and workplace excellence. This position requires strong leadership, professionalism, sound business judgment, and the ability to effectively coordinate resources, projects, and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee facility modifications and construction projects, including planning, budgeting, cost estimates, bid packages, contracts, and project execution.
  • Ensure construction, installation, and facility operations comply with established specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Location: Fort Collins, CO
  • Environment: standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC copier, fax machine, etc.).
  • Attends or facilitates meetings, conducts training. Should be familiar with all work environments at AE.
  • May be required to travel to all Advanced Energy locations.
  • May need to respond to emergency facility related situations.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years of related industry experience
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a facilities team at a medium to large company
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Industrial Construction Management, Health Science/Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, Engineering or similar field required
COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $115,000 to $165,000 per year.
