Job summary

Calo Programs is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead facility operations at the Lake Ozark campus and surrounding buildings. This hands-on leader will guide a maintenance team, manage vendor partnerships, and drive capital projects to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and strategic planning with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with safety standards. On-site, full-time work with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in facilities management, maintenance, or operations.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, building codes, and accreditation expectations.
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained across multiple buildings.

Schedule: 7 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday

Lead Facilities That Support Life-Changing WorkCalo Programs is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead facility operations across our Lake Ozark campus and surrounding buildings. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and well-maintained facilities while leading a maintenance team, managing vendor partnerships, overseeing capital improvement projects, and creating a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity for a hands-on facilities leader who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership skills. Success in this role requires the ability to build trust, develop teams, solve complex facility challenges, and proactively plan for future operational needs.

Responsibilities
Lead People & Operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and service.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and community partners.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of projects and repairs.
Manage Facilities & Maintenance
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of buildings, grounds, and related assets.
  • Coordinate and perform maintenance activities involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, drywall, roofing, painting, generators, irrigation systems, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Manage weather-related facility needs, including snow removal, storm response, and grounds maintenance.
Drive Strategic Results
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets and cost-control initiatives.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and contractor performance.
  • Participate in facility construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
  • Help shape long-term facility planning and infrastructure investment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, building codes, accreditation requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Technical Qualifications
  • Three or more years experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or facilities operations.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, construction, and general building systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, safety procedures, and building codes.
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and maintenance projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required background screenings.
  • 25 years of age or older
Preferred
  • Experience leading facilities operations for a multi-building campus or similarly complex environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Safety, or a related field. Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with budgeting, capital planning, and contract management.
