Job summary

University of Utah located on the Salt Lake City campus is hiring Facilities / Maintenance Technicians. The role involves general maintenance, light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, painting, and grounds upkeep, plus assisting with moves and coordinating with contractors.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of related experience. There are two levels, II and III, with different responsibilities and pay bands. Benefits are available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

Conduct routine checks on machinery to determine maintenance required for proper operation. Assist employees with internal moves and transport supplies and equipment as needed. May work with specialized outside contractors. May have some formal training in one or more trades or related experience in building maintenance. Complete routine tasks under moderate supervision.

Requires at least 1 year of related experience.

This is an Intermediate Level position in the Support track.
