Job summary

FM Labs in Colorado is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to care for building systems, perform minor carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting and plumbing tasks, and manage repair work orders. The role requires working with maintenance teams, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring facilities remain clean, safe and functional.

Responsibilities include routine preventive maintenance, tooling management, and reporting to the Safety and Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• Power tools experience.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance directives.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the work and repair order process, estimating time and extent of repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and manage schedules.
• Maintain tools, workspace, and supply inventory.
• Coordinate with contractors on projects as needed.
• Report progress to Safety and Facilities Manager or supervisor.
• Inspect buildings and systems for malfunctions and needed repairs.
• Communicate needs for outside expert assistance when required.
• Take initiative to prevent problems and follow safety rules.
• Perform painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks as required.
