Job summary

Adams and Associates is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform repair and preventive maintenance of Center facilities, grounds and systems in Sacramento. The role may supervise student workers, coordinate with contractors, complete work orders, transport students as needed, and mentor trainees to meet Career Success Standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of maintenance experience, and knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and boilers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in building maintenance.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, boilers.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair and preventive maintenance to facility and building systems on Center.
• May supervise Job Corps Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time Student Workers.
• Carry out work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Oversee training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area.
• Coordinate activities with outside contractors for repairs and replacements.
• Provide quality services for students and ensure needs are met.
