Job summary

Swire Coca-Cola is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician Specialist at the Draper campus. You will oversee maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems operate safely and efficiently to support our beverage production and distribution network.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across facilities, coordinating with teams, planning preventive tasks and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years facilities or maintenance experience.
  • Past experience with HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repair HVAC systems and controls.
  • Repair piping, fixtures and plumbing infrastructure.
  • Maintain electrical systems: wiring, lighting, circuits, transformers.
  • Welding and fabricating for racks, structures and equipment.
  • Operate heavy equipment for grounds maintenance and construction tasks.
  • Check and maintain life safety systems: fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, etc.
  • Install and manage access control systems.
  • Lead contractors on select projects when needed.
  • Plan and schedule personnel to meet safety plans and goals.
  • Attend meetings and assist with special projects and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What does a Facilities Maintenance Technician Specialist do at Swire Coca-Cola?

Responsible for the effective care of all facility related issues as well as managing maintenance staff and contractors at the Swire Draper campus. Further duties may include any capital or special projects as assigned by the Senior Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and their associated controls by use hand powered tools, meters and tools to keep climate controlled and maintain safe air quality
  • Unclog lines, repair faucets, install and repair piping, installation maintenance of other plumbing devices throughout the facility to keep plumbing infrastructure properly functioning.
  • Repair, replace and maintain facility electrical systems by checking and replacing wires, fuses, lighting systems, circuits, and transformers in AC and DC as well as high or low voltage.
  • Weld, repair and build CO2 racks, protective devices, forklifts, structures and any other projects through use of either stick welding or mig welding systems
  • Operation of heavy construction equipment & large vehicles for maintaining external grounds including relocating heavy items such as steel & equipment, plowing snow, mowing fields and general construction projects for employee safety, property up keep and business process functioning.
  • Check, replace and maintain human safety systems included but not limited to fire alarms, sprinkler systems, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, close circuit television systems and building automation systems to for human safety and to protect the facility.
  • Install, repair, build and administer access control to lock systems, including cutting keys, keying locks and replacing batteries to secure property and human safety.
  • Hire and collaborate with contractors on select projects to achieve outcomes not possible for Swire facilities staff to accomplish independently.
  • Plan and manage personnel through instruction and scheduling, to meet facilities maintenance & safety plans and goals
  • Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent degree required
  • 4+ years facilities or maintenance experience required
  • Past experience with HVAC systems and/or plumbing systems required
  • Ability to fully operate hand held diagnostic tools
  • Ability open and use Excel, Adobe PDF Reader, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to read architectural drawings
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
