Job summary

SSMO Ministries Corporation is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain property systems, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment on campus.

The role requires routine preventive inspections, ability to work in attics and crawlspaces, some plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and light construction tasks, plus adherence to safety policies and on-call duties as needed. Background screening is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in general property maintenance, construction, or related trade.
• Successfully complete the required background and fingerprint screening.
• Background screening required for all campus employees.

Responsibilities

• Routine preventive inspections of property.
• Regularly accessing and servicing equipment in the attic and crawlspaces.
• Minor plumbing repair.
• Painting – as assigned.
• Repair of doors, locks, walls, lights, windows, and ceilings as assigned.
• Installing, moving, and removing equipment and furniture, as needed.
• Changing air-filters on HVAC equipment, per scheduled maintenance.
• Pressure-washing entrances, pathways and parking lots.
• Inspecting the roofs and cleaning gutters.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulation, policy and accident prevention rules.
• Recommending material and equipment purchases when replacements are needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
