Job summary

Maryland Masonic Homes in Cockeysville, MD is seeking a Full-time Utility Mechanic/Shop Clerk to maintain the campus facilities. The role reports to the Building Management Team and involves basic maintenance, room setup for events, and assisting with resident moves.

The position requires a High School diploma, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and machinery, and prior maintenance experience. Valid driver’s license and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and machinery mechanics.
• Must have prior maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of the facility with minimal supervision.
• Prepare activity rooms for events and move furniture and supplies.
• Move residents' furniture when they move in/out of MMH.
• Assist with snow, ice, and debris clearance from roads and walkways.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as bulb changes and inspections.
• Support maintenance mechanics when required.
• Monitor inventory and process purchasing orders.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and document returns.
