Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• Must pass multiple background checks at applicant's expense.
• Good knowledge of general maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.
• Familiarity with safety precautions of mechanical trades.
• Ability to perform basic helper skills.
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to get along well with others to promote a positive working environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform semiskilled duties in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and traffic control.
• Assist skilled maintenance workers with their tasks.
• Maintain, service, and repair buildings and equipment.
• Work with other semiskilled maintenance workers on assigned tasks.
• Maintain equipment and tools in safe operating condition; promote safety.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and seminars as required.
• Inform others about procedures or status of work orders when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Administrative Services or staff.
