Job summary

Walmart in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment. You will follow schedules, operate hand and power tools, and work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.

This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of 26–51 USD, sign-on bonus at select locations, benefits including health, vision, dental, 401(k) and Life, plus growth opportunities through Walmart

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSA, in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills and tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
